Lorient (2nd) have won six on the spin in Ligue 1 and have only lost once all season. This week they face a Reims side (15th), who haven't won in five, and have managed to collect a red card in six games this year.

Monaco (5th) have won their last five in a row, keeping three clean sheets along the way. This week they play at home against Clermont (8th), who have failed to beat anyone in the top half of Ligue 1.

Despite a recent record of two draws and a loss (against teams in La Liga's top half), Sevilla (18th) could be worth a punt this week playing away at Mallorca (12th), who have only managed one win in their last five home games.

Athletico (4th) have won three of their last four and boast a healthy 1.8 goal-per-game average. Although Bilbao (3rd) have three wins from their last four, all of those games were against opposition in the bottom half of La Liga.

When playing at home this season, Brentford (11th) have had big wins against Man United (4-0) and Leeds (5-2). Their opponents Brighton (7th) have conceded eight in their last four and lost to Spurs last week.
